Important: these terms are practical protective software terms, not legal advice
and not a substitute for lawyer review.

By installing or using Aceon Copier, you agree to these terms.

1. Free Use
Aceon Copier may be used for free for lawful data-copy, data-transfer, and
data-recovery-support work.

2. Free Redistribution
You may give away unmodified copies of Aceon Copier for free, including the
installer, Flatpak bundle, checksums, install notes, build notes, license, and
terms. You may not sell Aceon Copier itself, remove Aceon branding or safety
notices, rebrand it, imply Aceon endorsement, or distribute modified copies
without written permission from Aceon.

3. Operator Responsibility
The operator is responsible for selecting the correct source and destination,
checking drive identity, preserving evidence where required, maintaining backups,
and deciding whether a drive is too unstable for file-level copying.

4. Source-Safe Intent
Aceon Copier is designed for copy-only workflows and includes safety checks, but
no software can guarantee recovery success or prevent all operator mistakes,
hardware failures, operating-system behavior, power loss, destination failure, or
media degradation.

5. No Warranty
The software is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any
kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose,
non-infringement, data recovery success, uninterrupted operation, or error-free
operation.

6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aceon Data Recovery and its owners,
staff, contractors, suppliers, and contributors are not liable for lost data,
lost profits, business interruption, device damage, recovery failure, or
consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the software.

7. Lawful Use
Use the software only on media and data you own, administer, or are authorized to
copy. Do not use it to access, copy, or distribute data unlawfully.
