SSD or USB drive not detected
Do not initialize, format, update firmware, or keep replugging. Note whether it appears in Disk Management, Disk Utility, BIOS, or not at all.
RAID, NAS, or server warning
Do not rebuild, swap several drives, change disk order, create a new array, or initialize a volume. Photograph drive order and alerts.
Phone repair did not recover data
Do not reset, restore from backup over the device, charge a wet phone repeatedly, or approve erase prompts.
Backup, sync, or cloud restore went wrong
Pause sync clients and stop saving new files until the missing version, deleted file, or overwrite path is understood.
